OUR STORY

Immersive Care Co. was created from the coming together of OTD Discoveries and Extra One, two journeys united by one shared belief: that everyone deserves to feel included, empowered and inspired to experience life beyond limitations.

Our vision is to create a community where everyone feels included and genuinely part of something. We want to encourage people to step outside their comfort zones, try things they might not have considered before and discover new interests and experiences along the way.

We also understand that everyone's journey looks different. For some, it might be about building the confidence to get out into the community and meet new people. For others, it might be developing greater independence, learning new skills or working towards personal goals they've set for themselves.

Whatever those goals look like, we want to provide support that gives people the confidence and opportunity to work towards them at their own pace.

We want Immersive Care Co. to be something people want to be involved in, where friendships can form naturally and everyone feels welcome to be themselves.

Although our name is new, we're proud of where we've come from. OTD Discoveries and Extra One will always be part of our story, and everything we've learnt along the way has helped shape what Immersive Care Co. is becoming.

Hey, my name is Roddy Mawn, co-founder of Immersive Care Co.

Growing up with a younger brother who has an intellectual disability and being part of the neurodivergent community from a young age has played a big role in shaping who I am today. It's what sparked my passion for supporting others and encouraging people to make the most of their own life journey.

I've seen firsthand how much of a difference having a strong support network and a community you feel part of can make. That's something that's always been important to me, and it's exactly what we're working towards building here at Immersive Care Co.

Jett Thorpe Elich

Hey, I’m Jett Thorpe Elich, co-founder of Immersive Care Co. I’m a Sunshine Coast local through and through, with a passion for supporting people of all abilities.

I have a strong background in sport, particularly rugby league, where I developed many of the values and beliefs that helped shape Immersive Care Co. My vision is to create an environment that’s more than just a support service —somewhere our participants can work towards their goals, feel seen, and build a life they’re excited about.

For me, it’s about being the team you can count on, just like running onto the footy field alongside your teammates.
